I was inspired by an IRL campaign of the wonderful TTRPG, Cyberpunk RED, and love the idea of having an app/device that catalogues all of your clothing available and offers suggestions on what to wear during a given day.

Style over Substance they say in the rulebook, and I dove in head first. Like most characters I create, they are typically quite curvaceous. Lucky you. I got a comment from a fellow connoisseur of my brand of content of questionable quality and was inspired.

I built this with develop (Pretty neat program. Easy enough to use with light googling and youtube watching.) It was an undertaking to say the least though and ultimately I got the bones of the thing working and just ran out of steam drawing the art for it. I had a lot more art planned for it, but just didn't have the time to draw it all.  (I am over it and got what I wanted out of this project so just enjoy what you got.)

 The 'Game' itself:

This is a fairly self-explanatory clicker where you can mix and match tops and bottoms and accessories. It is basically similar to the ancient digital paper KISS dolls I played with back in the day. Please enjoy dressing up Media Shower for your own pleasure. I had a fun time playing with this app and showing it to my gaming party. The lengths we go to to celebrate our PCs, right?

 The 'plan':

If you mix and match the right outfit, you would be able to 'unlock' more raunchy scenes and options. There is something called 'Mr. Studd' in cyberpunk and my character had one, just don't worry too much about it. I don't even know itch.io 's policy on risque stuff and am better off not pushing my luck. Anyway. If you set up the right outfit combination then you can make it to the next scene. That much is actually in the game as it stands now, but I don't think any of the art is in there. Once the art changes from MS and her outfits to a giant diamond surrounded in glowy bits, that is the SFW placeholder art.

My triumphs:

- The app itself works and functions half decently. (Some arrow buttons mess around because of logic issues and how I named images I think.)
- I figured out how to get MS to talk when you click the advice button and even added in a little animation for the lips.
- The art looks half decent and my overall concept came to life. I am quite proud of this.
- The meta loading screen and menu buttons and all of that work correctly.

Troubles I ran into/What ultimately led to my downfall:

- I found it tricky to get the layers right for shirts that tucked in vs. those that didn't. Some tops and bottom kind of clip in a way that makes it ugly. Either I draw boring clothing with no overlap, or need to assign some means to make a layer go above another depending if it is active or not. I could figure it out, but didn't feel like watching that many more youtube videos/googling/ I didn't have a teacher to show me the way or offer a solution.

- There are some small buggy bits like the left arrow on the tops button failing. I think I fixed it and have an actual more functional version of this somewhere, but can't be bothered to find it.

- Way more art than I thought it would be and I ran out of motivation before I finished it.

Thanks as always for checking out my junk!

I might have a more updated version and I will have to double check all my old files and root around to see if I can find it. Maybe if I get some strange burst of inspiration and find some other art laying around I may attempt to relearn how I made this thing (We are talking over a year or two ago since I last even touched it. Let alone did actual work on it.) and update it. Don't hold your breath though, choom.

Biggest issue, the part of the game with no sexy shit apparently has no shit at all, was the whole game sexy shit or does that not exist like her eyes, hair, hands, shades, and shoes. Also if I click on the part of the game that isn't a dead end, it takes me to a screen that has a glitched/bugged texture(?) maybe it failed to load 100% of the time or maybe it doesn't exist either.

(No offense bruh)

I read the part of the essay you put under the game and you clearly say that the game is half baked and you ran out of steam, but I know that all of these issues could be solved if you lock the fuck in.

Great game btw, need some work but add more lore (if that even works for this kinda game) and I think you should be good.

Also check out my game also created with "develop" (lmfao XDDD) idunno, maybe u got short(er) term memory loss like me! is that a good thing... https://necromancer6482.itch.io/my-slope-clone (ill let you in on a secret, find a way to press tab without tabbing off of the game, what worked for me is that I left clicked on the game and press tab at the same time in fullscreen)

Yeah, that came off quite rude in all honesty and I don't really appreciate it or find it very encouraging.
